We will talk to you about your comfort expectations. Maybe your home is too dry or doesn’t seam to heat very well in one part of your home. We will look at how many people live with you, the overall square footage of your home, ceiling height, how big your windows are and where they are located. We will look at your insulation, siding type and even your roofing material. All this information is key to figuring out your total heat loss and is the only true way to properly size your system. There are a number of quality systems on the market to date. Some manufactures advertise using a good better best system but doesn’t necessarily indicate a lower dependability rating. No matter what bran system you decide to go with, it will only be as good as your installer.
This is a tricky question. The cost of a new furnace will vary greatly on brand, BTU, efficiency, and even what region you live in. Just as an example a 100,000 BTU single stage furnace can cost $3500-6500 installed in the Illinois are or $2500-3500 installed in the Colorado area.
Generally speaking most furnaces come with a minimum of a 7-10 year parts warrantee. Some brands carry more warranty options depending on the line.
